Crew54: So Beautiful (Chop Steak Remix)

If you’ve been keeping up with them Crew54 boys (and shame on you if you haven’t), you know they dropped a new mixtape back in June of this year: The 54 Reality Show Tape.

I have been busy as a mug with my first semester of graduate school, so I haven’t been doing much of anything on the boards. But this week, I decided to dust off the keyboard and make it do what it do. So without further ado, here’s my remix of one of their tracks off the album, “So Beautiful.” Download, share, and let me know what you think via the comments.

Poise “Heavyweight Champ” Video Release Party

Congrats to Austin rapper, Poise, who debuted his long-awaited music video for Heavyweight Champ, the lead single off his forthcoming full-length, last night.  The event occurred at what is apparently a community  center in east Austin, and featured free Shiner Bock, which helped to draw in a nice sized crowd of over 100 people at the peak.  I was glad to get out and see some members of the local rap community that I had not in a long time.

Unfortunately, I can’t find the video itself posted online, but when it is, I’ll post it up here.  I did get some pictures though, and acted a fool in the parking lot on the 54 Reality Show.  I hope MOS puts it up soon.
